Army Eats 2021
The Army has released a series of Healthy Soldier Cookbooks which aims to encourage Service Personnel and the wider service community to eat healthy and take care of their wellbeing. This competition is an opportunity for regular, reserve, officers and soldiers, to capture their skills and promote the importance of healthy living by submitting an image of their healthy meals. Each winning entry will win a £50 voucher.
A selection of entries will be selected to feature in a future published cookbook with proceeds supporting a military charity.
The rules couldn't be simpler
Don't cheat! Please don't take an image from google or direct from a celebrity chefs website and pass it off as your own. We have some clever software that allows us to look at image metadata. Your entry will be disqualified if you do this.
Read the monthly theme, extra details will be provided by the judging panel and what they will be looking for.
There is no limit on how many times you can enter.
Entries must be submitted in line with the competition calendar and will be judged against the scheduled theme at the time of submission.

Entrants must upload one image of their meal
Title of your meal
Entrants must include their full name

Judging and Winners
The judges will select one winner from each category per month. Entries will be judged by a panel from 167 Catering Support Regiment RLC. Judges will select winners from each category based on the following marking guides:
Presentation and visual appeal
Nutritional balance
Relevance to theme
Winners will be contacted by 167 Regt RLC and results published 1st week of every month.

Submissions must agree that their images may be used for official purposes and media use and will thereafter be subject to Crown Copyright. Disclosure. All images entered into the competition must have the subject’s approval for their image to be published on Army media platforms, where applicable. If photographers do not have proof of permission the image should not be entered.
